PFC Perry M. Petty, served proudly in the U.S. Army with the 330th Infantry, 83rd Inf. Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star in March of 1944. During the Occupation of Germany, PFC Petty was killed in a jeep accident, in the line of duty. He was from Lipan, and had a lot of friends and family in Hood County.
